The Season That Meant More

This season wasn’t just about soccer.
Yes, there was hard work. Early mornings, long drives, and high-pressure tryouts. There were wins—like taking home the Austin Cup. But the proudest moments didn’t always happen on the field.
They happened when he stepped up to give the graduation speech.
When he accepted three awards—one for Straight A’s, one for Reading, and one for PE.
When he showed that effort in every area of life matters.
Because being great at the game doesn’t mean much if you’re not also growing in character, responsibility, and heart.
As parents, we don’t choose the path. But when our kids decide they want to push themselves—to get better, to try harder, to lead—we owe it to them to support that 100%.
So we clap. We drive. We encourage. We listen.
And sometimes, we just stand back and watch in awe.
One tournament to go. And whatever happens, the growth already happened.
