This Sunday is for the moms.
For the ones in the folding chairs on the sidelines.
For the ones who pack the gear, fill the bottles, tie the laces, and wipe the tears.
For the ones who clap the loudest—even after a loss.
You may not wear the jersey, but you show up every game day.
With snacks, with sunscreen, with encouragement.
You’re there through the wins, and more importantly, the losses.
Because you know the truth:
It’s not about raising the best player—it’s about raising a kid who believes in themselves.
A kid who knows that mistakes are part of learning, that failures are just stepping stones, and that love doesn’t depend on the scoreline.
You’re the voice that tells them,
“You’ve got this."
The hug that says, “I’m proud of you, no matter what.”
The ride home that turns disappointment into growth.
So here’s to you.
To the moms who drive to the early games, who cheer in the rain, who carry more than just bags—but confidence, kindness, and resilience too.
Yes, even on Mother’s Day, you’re in the stands.
And yes, you still smile—because watching your kid do what they love is one of the greatest gifts of all.
From one soccer family to another:
Happy Mother’s Day.
You’re everything your kid needs, just by being there.
